Prior to the establishment of Law Offices of Marc P. Katz, Marc had more than 20 years’ experience in various in-house corporate legal positions, with an emphasis in the electronic security services business. His previous experience includes:
• Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Administrative Officer of Best Access Systems, with responsibility for legal, human resources, information services, facilities and security matters;
• Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of SecurityLink from Ameritech, Inc., with responsibility for creating and managing a legal department for this $500 million subsidiary of Ameritech Corporation (now AT&T);
• Assistant Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of National Guardian Security Services Corp. handling and/or managing more than 200 acquisitions with oversight of a significant litigation portfolio; and
• Staff Attorney with Wells Fargo Alarm Services.
Since 2003 Marc has grown the business of the firm, increasing its professional staff to include five additional attorneys. In 2019 the firm proudly closed 36 transactions for its clients. The acquisitions closed ranged in size from small transactions to transactions with purchase prices in excess of $75,000,000. Marc has spoken before security industry organizations and facilitated numerous leadership institutes.
